Bamboozled, Zebrahead,Dave Chapelle Show, Boston Public,etc.) visited
both CYMC crew
members and Ms. Nuval’s classroom at Downtown High School
in early December.
The youth were excited to meet Michael and participate in a Q&A
session in which
we shared our work and also learned from his own experiences as
a professional in
the film industry. Michael visited the production set of DHS’s
latest short film and also the CYMC production studio on Mission
St.. Rapaport was impressed with the youth and their creative talents;
sharing some advice with the youth, he said “Stay true to
your story; originality is the key to creativity”. Michael
also got some tips on Final Cut Pro from Gilma Urias, and gave an
interview about streetball to young CYMC filmmaker Brian McArthur.
